On Friday, 8 July 2022, the 64h meeting of ANFACI’s National Board took place in Rome. 

It was a very important event for the Association, that recorded a great participation of its members, both in presence and on line. A positive and concrete debate was renewed on various serious issues, such as the prefectural career, the professional culture and the exchange of ideas among the colleagues, in the perspective of the renovation of the Association’s action. 

The National Board confirmed, by acclamation, Ignazio Portelli President of the Association and Laura Lega General Secretary, for the three-year period 2022-2024.

At the beginning of the activities, the message to ANFACI’s members from Minister of the Interior, Luciana Lamorgese, was read. She addressed her best wishes to the Board for its work and to all the members of the Association who “will be certainly be able to give the right impulse to the Association’s mission throughout the whole country”. “ANFACI – Minister Lamorgese also affirmed in her message – represents an essential point of reference to vehicle studies and proposals, even legislative, on behalf of Internal Affairs Administration and of the prefectural career. It represents an associative reality of extraordinary significance that, over the decades, has strengthened its prestige, also on the international scene”.

The National Board expressed great enthusiasm, a deep will to increase the associative activities and the desire to give an innovative contribution of ideas in the various fields already mentioned.

For all these reasons, the Association aims at strengthening and increasing the personal and professional networks, hoping – as the Minister said in her speech – “to continue to affirm and reinforce the values that have always inspired Italian Prefectural Corps”.
