Professor Charles RICQ CHAPPUIS, EASTR’s member of Honor passed away at the age of 84 years old

Born on June 24th 1934, Charles RICQ CHAPPUIS passed away in Switzerland on July 30th 2018.

Scientific advisor at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg and at the European Commission in Brussels, Emeritus professor at the University of Geneva, he dedicated his life to encourage the reconciliation of beings beyond the borders. His academic institute E.U.O.C.R European Observation Center of regions, enabled to create bonds of complementary solidarity to our institutions. His involvement in the creation of EASTR, recongnized and honoured during our Board meeting on June 1st 2018 in Lyon, France shows his humanity.  

We will keep from the Professor, the memory of a man with great humility, committed, generous and convening. The EASTR members express their acknowledge and convey their sincere condolences to his family.
