Ignazio Portelli, President of AERTE, presented the role of Italian prefects  in the various states and the future prospects for their function in Europe, at the General Assembly of the Association of Prefects and Senior Officials of the Ministry of the Interior, which took place on December 18, 2025, at Place Beauvau in Paris, France.
